This set of four interactive activities from the Languages online resource introduces students to the way to express simple likes and dislikes in relation to leisure activities. Integral to the activities are the terms for eight different sports and/or hobbies. Activities are chiefly based on listening to realistic simple exchanges about likes and dislikes, with supporting visuals used to aid understanding. Instructions in English, immediate feedback and answers with translations are provided, as well as resources for teachers including additional printable activities and flashcards.

  • This is a valuable interactive resource for Indonesian language learning that supports the Communicating and Understanding strands of the Australian Curriculum. It is suitable for primary and secondary students.
  • The resource gives students opportunities to develop receptive skills, and to apply this and prior knowledge to their own work.
  • The development of students' literacy skills in their first language is supported by comparing with Indonesian language and structures.
  • Audio support, answers and translations, and printable activities and flashcards for teachers are included.
  • The resource encourages students to learn to work independently, but also cooperatively with peers by completing the survey and modelled conversation tasks in the additional printable worksheets.
